He is no stranger to working with the best characters and the best people in the industry.
According to a recent interview with Marvel, he revealed that he was very excited when he was given the chance to work on a series involving a bad-ass villain like Darth Maul!
The series is all about Darth Maul’s coming of age. It details the training and the hardships that he goes through to become truly viscious.
His relationship with his mentor Darth Sidious has been explored in great detail.
Darth Sidious aka Palpatine is the meanest villain in all of Star Wars, he is the one who nudges Anakin Skywalker to the dark side and turns him into the master villain known as Darth Vader.
According to his interview with Marvel, Cullen says that the Star Wars Universe contains a vast wealth of cool and mean characters which can be used to create very well written and very beautifully illustrated comics and graphic novels.
He believes that the scene in the movie ‘Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’ that involves Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul is very significant to the character of Darth Maul.
Cullen believes that there is a very strong connection between the animates series ‘Star Wars: Rebels’ and the comic series ‘Star Wars: Darth Maul’ in the ‘Star Wars Universe’.
He says that the series would include guest stars like the ‘Jedi Padawan Eldra Kaitis’.
Cullen is working with Luke Ross on the exciting series. The first exciting issue is already out and we are waiting for the next one and the next and the one after that…..
